Family and Children’s Ministries

We are focused on helping our children feel they are a vital part of the Body of Christ within our Parish Family. Children participate in our services as acolytes, bell ringers, greeters, bringing up the Bread and Wine, being part of processions, and having active roles in some of our special Family Ministry services including leading prayer, reading scripture, drama, and singing.

We provide Sunday School for students in preschool-fifth Grade. Students are dismissed from our 10:30 service with a blessing from the congregation and then gather in the Parish Hall for music and singing. Following that, they continue to their individual classes where we use the “Living the Good News” curriculum which follows the Scriptural readings assigned for the week in the Episcopal Lectionary. Students rejoin their parents before Communion. Our classes strive to be engaging with stories, drama, music, games, and art. We take our job of imparting Jesus’ love and His story to our children seriously so they may one day share that love and His story to others.

Some additional activities that the Sunday School sponsors are a yearly Christmas Pageant and a Vacation Bible School as an end of the school year opportunity as well as a Summer Sunday School Program.  Throughout the summer we also provide several opportunities for service projects through our Team B.L.A.S.T. program (Building Lives Around Service Together). These projects have benefited various groups in our Greeley community such as the Weld Food Bank, A Woman’s Place, the Humane Society and NCMC among others.
